Date: Saturday, October 14, 2023
Aldus Brewing, Fat Bat Brewing Co., Sign of the Horse Bierhaus, and Something Wicked Brewing Co. are proud to announce the 3rd Annual Brewery Olympics presented in partnership with York County’s Destination Brand, a part of Explore York, on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 11am-2pm.
Teams of four will compete in events testing strength and skill in four main events. These competition events presented by each brewery will award points to the competing teams. The top scoring teams will compete in the final event, a team relay race featuring varying sized kegs to carry and race across the finish line.
Winners of the gold medal will get the ultimate beer lover’s experience – participating in a brewing process at a local Hanover brewery.
This year we’ll also be debuting York County Olympic Ale on September 30th at all four participating breweries. Come enjoy this new amazingly drinkable amber ale with moderate maltiness and slight notes of piney citrus from cascade and centennial hops. In-person registrations for the games themselves will also be available on the evening of September 30th from 6-8PM. Online registrations will be open until the day of the games or until all the team spots are filled.
Registered team members will receive a special event t-shirt.
- Games will not involve alcohol, but participants must be 21+ to compete.
- Registrations are limited to 16. Team registrations will also be available on the day of the event until we reach our limit.
- Event is rain or shine!
This project is a collaboration with local Hanover breweries and York County’s Destination Brand, a part of Explore York.
Proceeds from this event benefit Main Street Hanover – supporting downtown events and revitalization initiatives.
