Main Street Hanover Launches New Website
HANOVER, Pa. – (October 28, 2014) – Main Street Hanover is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.mainstreethanover.org.
The new website features a colorful palette, an intuitive and user-friendly design, responsive design, easy navigation, enhanced functionality and encourages site visitors to explore downtown Hanover for business, residential and leisure opportunities.
“We are very excited to provide a single website for all things related to Main Street Hanover. The website was developed to be mobile-friendly and is a great resource that people can use to find history, culture and fun – at their fingertips. It’s an easy-to-use resource that promotes our Main Street businesses, whether you’re looking for shopping, dining or professional services,” stated Blanda Nace, Program Manager, Main Street Hanover.
The site was designed by SevenOneSeven Studios with input from the Main Street Hanover Promotions Committee and staff from the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce and York County Economic Alliance.
Additional website features include a home page highlighting featured events and a top five listing of activities to participate in downtown, a page highlighting downtown businesses, a dynamic events calendar, breakout pages organized by activities and a downtown parking map.
Downtown businesses and organizations can receive a free listing on the Main Street Hanover website and can provide updates to their listings several times throughout the year at no cost. In addition, event organizers can submit event listings for everything from classes to community festivals held within the business improvement district. The event calendar will be a popular destination for area residents and visitors to use when planning their time in downtown Hanover.
With a mission to expand the economic capacity of Downtown Hanover, thus improving the business environment, enhancing the quality of place and increasing community synergy, Main Street Hanover brings together diverse community interests and resources to promote the economic vitality, architectural heritage and cultural vibrancy of the downtown business district. The initiative is overseen by the York County Economic Alliance.
As the second largest population center in York County, the Hanover area significantly impacts the overall economy of South Central Pennsylvania. Through increased partnership to implement Main Street Hanover, Hanover Borough, Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce and the York County Economic Alliance are committed to expanding the region’s economic capacity.
