Invites Community to Donate Items

HANOVER, PA – July 9, 2014 – Main Street Hanover is pleased to announce plans to launch a public art program in downtown Hanover and is asking the community for help in securing the re-purposed items for the sculpture.

Main Street Hanover has commissioned local artist Jeff Asper of Tossed and Found Art for the first public art sculpture. The concept for this initial art piece is an infinity sign, representing downtown Hanover’s boundless potential and made of a metal frame with interior components consisting of re-purposed items from Hanover’s agricultural and the industrial roots.

Main Street Hanover is seeking unique agricultural and industrial elements for the art piece. If you would like to donate item(s) to be included in the sculpture, please contact Jeff Asper at 717-571-4491 or drop the items off at the Hanover Area Arts Guild, located at 32 Carlisle Street. Donors will be recognized.

This initial public art piece was made possible through grants received from the York County Community Foundation and PNC Bank.
