1st Friday Art Walk

First Friday Art Walks in Downtown Hanover

  • Organized & Hosted By: Little Fox Coffee & Books
  • Sponsored by: Main Street Hanover

Experience the creativity of Hanover at First Friday Art Walks, a monthly celebration of local art and community. On the first Friday of each month from 5:00–8:00 PM, downtown Hanover businesses transform into gallery spaces showcasing the incredible talent of regional artists.

Launched in August 2025 by Little Fox Coffee & Books, the Art Walk was created to bring something fresh and meaningful to our downtown. Each event highlights a rotating lineup of artists and venues, inviting visitors to explore, connect, and enjoy an evening filled with art, culture, and community spirit.

Whether you’re strolling downtown with a coffee, meeting artists in person, or discovering a new favorite shop, First Friday Art Walks offer a warm, welcoming experience for all ages. Free and open to the public, no tickets required—just come downtown and enjoy Hanover’s growing arts scene.

Businesses and artists are encouraged to participate! If you’re interested in hosting or exhibiting, reach out to Kiki Page at Little Fox Coffee & Books at hello@littlefoxbooks.co

Agust Lineup:

  • Church of Satire will be hosting their comedy showcase, featuring comedians: Mike Quindlen, Sonny Etzler. Nathan Scahill, Mert, and more! Check out their website to read about the various comedians and to purchase tickets for the show.
  • Debbie J’s will be hosting Hanover, PA-based artist DJ Vélique. Vélique blends wood and other modern materials with photography to capture the down-on-the-farm spirit of Kevin and Friends. You can see this work during special events and the Hanover Art Gallery.
  • Dolphin & Anchor Brew Pub by Aldus Brewing will be hosting local artist Don Bergman. Donald’s work is inspired by the bold, graffiti-style pop art of Andy Warhol, Peter Max, and Jackson Pollock, bringing vibrant colors and expressive energy to every piece. Stop in, explore the artwork, enjoy a pint, and spend your First Friday surrounded by great art, great beer, and great company.
  • Fat Bat Brewing presents artist brewer Kevin Smith. Kevin has been making art longer than brewing. He was formally trained at Southwestern High School under Bob Glover. His pug dog “Lady Gaga” was his muse when he developed the mascot for the brewery. Their Taproom is the gallery for his canvas and mutli-media Fat Bat art.
  • Hanover Area Arts Guild will be hosting their “As Inspired By…” event where Arts Guild members display their original art that is inspired by the work of other notable artists. This exhibit will highlight how one artist’s creative efforts can have roots in the work of another artist. This show is on display August 4 through 29.
  • Little Fox Coffee & Books will be hosting artist Danielle Redden. Danielle Redden is a multidisciplinary artist from Hanover, Pennsylvania whose work includes gourd lamps, painting, and printmaking. She approaches each medium with attention to form, surface, and material. Redden holds an MA from SOAS, University of London, and teaches art history across the region. Alongside Danielle, they will be hosting local ceramicist Rebekah Brown. Rebekah’s work consists of a variety of mugs, plates, vases, and another ceramic homeware. Her work is inspired by mother nature and the unique magic that can be found in the mundane. She grew up loving all forms of art and found ceramics in high school. She dedicates enormous amounts of time, energy and love into her art, and it is her hope that you will feel this when you take a sip from your mug or put flowers in your vase.
  • Sacred Heart Tattoos will be hosting John & Rebecca Kelly. John began painting three years ago and has quickly developed a strong voice as an abstract artist, working primarily in acrylics. His work is driven by color, movement, and texture, inviting viewers to pause and engage with each piece on a personal level. Working primarily in acrylics, Rebecca embraces the freedom of abstract painting while also creating portraits and detailed drawings. She often incorporates collage and mixed media into her work, and she especially enjoys creating fabric art. John and Rebecca have been happily married for 25 years and live in Hanover, PA.
  • The Serpent’s Key will be hosting artist Craig Sinnott and will also be joined by our friends This is a Farmhouse for vegan noms.
  • Warehouse Gourmet Bistro & Brewpub will be hosting Kirby Heltebridle, Heltebridle is a prolific, diverse and lone wolf painter whose enigmatic and divergent approach to art sets him apart from other seasoned artists in the field. His work ranges from futuristic landscapes, cartoonish figurative illustrations, exquisite portraits to tongue-in-cheek sci-fi laugh-tracks. Kirby doesn’t paint to please the masses, he simply paints to entertain himself, and ultimately, the rest of us.
