Lions Club diner books
Main Street Hanover is collaborating with the Hanover Lions Club to promote the organization’s Diner Club books as a unique opportunity for local businesses to expand their marketing reach while supporting meaningful community initiatives. Through this partnership, businesses are invited to include one or more coupons in the annual publication at no cost, gaining exposure to a broad audience of local consumers.
The Hanover Lions Club produces the Diner Club book each year as a key fundraising effort, with proceeds directly benefiting vital community programs. These include providing eye care services for those in need, supporting initiatives like Feed a Friend, and offering scholarships to local students. By increasing participation from local businesses, the Lions Club aims to grow sales and further strengthen its impact across the Hanover community. Main Street Hanover is proud to support and amplify this community-driven effort.
You do not have to be a restaurant to participate, all business services are permitted.
The annual deadline to participate is August 1 each year.

On Friday, August 19, 1932, a new service organization was formed in Hanover, the Lions Club, with 32 members. They met at the Hotel Richard McAllister on York Street where Paul M. Garrett was elected President. Mr. Garret then passed on the gavel to Robert F. Jones to oversee the club when it received its charter on October 26, 1932.
The Hanover Lions Club has been very busy in the years since its organization. In its quest to uphold a way of life known as “Lionism”, it is estimated that the club has given well over $500,000 in financial support to the community during the past 90+ years. More importantly during this time, a “million dollar’ contribution has been made through countless volunteer hours of service to help make Hanover a great place to live.
